Mission Statement

Our mission at Hopewell Depot Museum is to provide a historic museum and park for the education and recreation of the community of Hopewell Junction, town of East Fishkill, and Dutchess County. Accurately reflect the facilities and purpose of the Hopewell Depot in its prime by collecting, preserving, and sharing of written records, photographs, oral histories, and physical artifacts. Additionally, provide an added tourist attraction for the town and county to attract visitors, promote local businesses, and foster Dutchess’ heritage. Lastly, be the southeastern gateway and visitors’ center for the William R. Steinhaus Dutchess County Rail Trail.
