Beacon Hospice is currently recruiting veteran volunteers. Veterans are a valuable resource for other veterans at the end of life. They share similar experiences, common language and codes of conduct and honor. Our volunteers are a vital part of the Beacon Hospice family, providing a special kind of caring and compassion for our patients and their families. Clerical Duties available are but not limited to, administrative support, answering phones, data entry, filing and copying, and patient packets. Patient & Family Care opportunities are but not limited to, Bilingual support, Birthday celebration team, caregiver relief, companionship support, hospitality team, household helper, maintenance/home repair, music and art therapy, pet therapy, telephone contact and of course our vet to vet program.
