Description

Asheville, North Carolina is where Food Connection originated in December of 2014. Food Connection eases hunger, reduces waste and supports our local food industry by redistributing surplus prepared food and purchasing meals from chefs to serve our Western North Carolina neighbors in need. We've redistributed over 300K fresh meals and kept 150 tons of waste out of the Buncombe Co. landfill. We've also expanded to serve other parts of Buncombe County including Leicester, Black Mountain, Swannanoa and also parts of Madison County.
