Our mission includes providing temporary shelter for homeless and abandoned cats; providing veterinary care such as spaying/neutering, disease testing and treatment, and vaccinations; facilitating their permanent adoption; and improving their adoptability through training and socialization.
Description
Whiskers of Hope is a small network of foster homes, with no brick and mortar shelter. We are dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of cats from off the street as well as surrenders from emergency situations. We investigate the health of all animals thoroughly before rehoming, and offer counseling to adoptive families before and after adoption to promote successful placement. We are a strictly no-kill organization and will maintain unadoptable cats to the end of their natural lives. Our commitment includes taking returns for any reason and at any time. We have often been a resource of last resort for many urgent situations.
Our current needs are for volunteers willing to serve as Treasurer or as Secretary. Experience with accounting practices for non-profits is desired for the position of Treasurer. We meet annually when all officers and directors attend.
