Change African Child International exists to socially and economically empower families and communities with low incomes to holistically address their own Child Rights and we believe in a situation of " Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, while teaching a man to fish you feed him for a lifetime" . Our mission can be achieved due these values the organization is build for,Respect of Child Rights, Confidentiality, Accountability, Team spirit and Commitment.

Description

Change African Child International - CACI is an indigenous Ugandan voluntary NGO founded in 2012 and registered with the NGO Board
(File No. MIA/NB/2012/11/4765). CACI is now operating in Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono district in Uganda but situated in Wakiso District .

CACI carries out various interventions in addressing the plight of the Orphans and Vulnerable Children's, youth and women including refugees. The Programs Directly reflects much on Skills Enhancement and Training, Adult Literacy Training to families, Children's care and support programs in the learning center/school in the rural Mukono district and Health issues on HIV/AIDS and reproductive health issues to the youth.
Achievements

Through the approach of adult literacy in reading, writing and numeracy as tools for achieving women empowerment this is working for many families in Wakiso district.

The other activities are, on enhancing skills and training among Orphan and Vulnerable Children in Hairdressing and Cosmetology, Tailoring, Garment Cutting, Fashion Design, Sweater Making and Knitting, Cobbling / Shoe Production &Leather Products, Crafts making, Baking and Computer Training however children below the age of skills learning another center/school was put in place to support children read, write, and count with an aim of developing the child's growth.
