Mission Statement

SmartyScholars is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to cultivating a meritocratic society by identifying bright but disadvantaged students and investing in their prospects for success.

Description

Smarty Scholars provides free college readiness and test prep services to high-need students. Smarty Scholars offers virtual 6-on-1 SAT tutoring to low-income Black and Latinx students and we use our own proprietary skill-building and test prep software, SmartyPrep. Students from our 2020 summer program who were able to sit for the SAT saw an average improvement of 181 points.
