Mission Statement

Pretty Me Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit youth mentoring organization established January 8th, 2016 in the state of Illinois. The "pretty" in Pretty Me Inc. speaks to the positive attributes of our inner character. Our MISSION is to provide girls with the essentials needed to build self-confidence to become driven goal-oriented leaders among their peers and in their community. Achieved through mentorship, community projects and social activities. Joining Pretty Me Inc. will help girls build self-confidence, moral values, and strong personal character, creating a "pretty" package on the inside that radiates on the outside. We support our mentees in staying on the path to becoming strong, nurturing, and successful leaders.

Description

General Function:
A PMI mentor is a caring, responsible, adult volunteer who shares knowledge and life experiences, serves as a trusted friend and guide, and provides advice to PMI youth. She helps to ensure mentees develop academically, important life skills, and positive behaviors. Mentors expose our youth to new opportunities and resources, and promote positive life choices, staying in school, and graduating with a plan for post-secondary education.
