Mission Statement

20 adult females needed for One-to-One youth mentoring program to be matched with an adolescent female in the east Denver area. Matches are made with girls who have been referred to our program primarily through the schools and involved in after-school groups prior to being matched. Once matched, our "Partnerships" are asked to average 3 hours weekly contact for a year and then (hopefully) beyond as an active Alumni Partnership. Partnerships receive support from a case manager assigned to assist with developing a lasting friendship, access to free tickets for community events, monthly organized group activities and more.

Description

Women with a desire to help a young lady find her way into adult-hood through friendship, advocacy and role-modeling. Our "Senior Partner" mentors develop a relationship with their "Junior Partners" based on trust earned through having fun, sharing experiences, role modeling adult behaviors and making themselves available to listen to concerns from their "Junior Partners" as arise.
