Mission Statement

MIFA (Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association) supports the independence of vulnerable seniors and families in crisis through high-impact programs.

Description

MIFA began in Memphis in 1968 following the sanitation workers' strike and the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Religious and lay leaders founded the organization as a means for all people to put their faith into action. Since its founding, MIFA has offered a hand up to hundreds of thousands of Mid-Southerners in need. This flexible local organization offers a variety of services to nurture our community. Donations of time, leadership, services and funds from individuals and community groups are critical to our success.
