Mission Statement

Wise Men & Women Mentorship Program is a school-based, school-year program that helps children and youth, ages 6-14, build strong character, achieve positive self-esteem, and create solutions to their everyday problems with the help of a caring relationship with an adult volunteer mentor.
The school-based Wise Men/Women program serves 14 elementary, 5 middle schools and 1 alternative school from September through May.

Mentoring takes place on school grounds between 9:00 am - 3:00 pm; no weekend commitments! The program provides games and crafts, you pay nothing.

Description

-Have an interest in interacting and relating well with young kids.

-Must be over 16 years of age

-Ability to perform 4 hours of mentoring per month from September to May.

-Complete introductory training with the mentoring specialist.

The mentor will build a relationship with their mentee and become a friend.
