Mission Statement

The guests provide oral histories and a rich repertoire of life and cultural experiences of African American veterans. Youth, ages 8-18 years old, will have opportunities to conduct veteran and family interviews, create storyboards, video and audio edit interviews; and then produce five minute video segments on Unsung Heroes Veterans to expand the UHLHP Exhibit and capture photography that documents each exhibit event. Mentors and youth will assist with also collect and frame photographs and documents? setup/breakdown and storage of exhibit components? and event planning.

Description

Looking for individuals between the ages of 18 years old and older, who possesses the following qualities: 1) Ability and willingness to communicate what you know; 2) preparedness; 3) approach ability, availability, and the ability to listen; 4) honesty with diplomacy; 5) inquisitiveness; 6) objectivity and fairness; and 7) compassion and genuineness.
