Mission Statement
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Tri-State makes meaningful, monitored "matches" between adult volunteers and children, through School-Based Mentoring and Community Based Programs. We develop positive, mentoring relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people which can help them realize their potential and build their futures while empowering them to make good choices
Description
We call our accepted and matched mentors Big Brother or Big Sisters. A Big Brother or Big Sister must be at least 18 years old and can be any age beyond that as long as they are going to reside in our area for the required time frame, are willing to go through our screening procedures, meet the acceptance criteria/be accepted and are interested/able to serve as a positive role model to a Little Brother or Little Sister.
