Mentoring 7th-12th grade girls in Los Angeles County! The mission of MOSTe is to mentor and empower girls from underserved areas of Los Angeles County to become the next generation of college educated women.
Who are MOSTe Mentors? MOSTe Mentors are professional women with the desire to change the lives of girls from underserved neighborhoods of Los Angeles County. They are role models. They are willing to share their experience and wisdom, and listen to the thoughts and opinions of young girls who aspire to attend college. Becoming a MOSTe mentor allows you to play a meaningful role in a young woman's social and educational development. You can become a critical part of her support system as she advances on her path to college. MOSTe mentoring includes attending our workshops (typically one Saturday a month at USC), chaperoning a Saturday bus ride to a MOSTe event, bringing your scholar to cultural events, accompanying her on college fairs and college tours, introducing her to friends and family, go out for fun, listening to her ideas, concerns and more. It is a very rewarding expereince!

Who are MOSTe Mentors? MOSTe Mentors are professional, college-educated women and at least 21 years or age. They come from all backgrounds, ethnicities, ages, and religions. Some great friendships happen among our mentors too. It's a great group of women and we are always looking for more!
MOSTe mentoring involves a one-year commitment (Aug.-June), monthly meetings with your mentee(s), and ongoing communication with Program Managers.
