Mission: To develop competent, caring, and confident youth through effective and measurable mentoring programs.

Children's Mentoring Connection of Hancock County (CMC) offers a several different programs. Traditional Community one-to-one matches Mentor to mentee, School-based mentoring during lunch period or after school. We provide mentoring programs at Jacobs Primary school, Bigelow Intermediate School, Glenwood Middle School Donnell Middle School and Cory Rawson. We have a PALS program for the children waiting to be matched. You can be a part of the Pals group individual, or with a group of friends or co workers. Family mentoring is open to a family that would like to include a youth in your activities. We do have mentoring programs for High School Students interested in mentoring underclassman as well as College Students who are interested in mentoring.

Our focus is working with youth age 6-14 from single parent homes or children living with other caregivers.

Currently accepting applications for both mentees and mentors.

Description

Interested Mentors will be contacted by a Case Manager to review the different programs at CMC. An application will be sent to the mentor. Background checks will be completed. Interviews at the office and in the Mentors home will occur. Support is offered by the Case Management Staff.
