CIVIC COORDINATING CAUCUS

Description

Civic coordinating caucus, Inc. Project save (scholastic adolescent vocational exploration) was developed in calibration with the division for youth as a delinquency prevention program when SDPP funds first became available. A high correlation has been identified amount students who exhibit poor attendance habits, school failure and truancy, dropping out and the increase probability of involvement with crime, the justice system, early pregnancies and potential drug use. Because of our unique relationship with the city school district, we have access to certified teaching staff, tutoring space, administrative space, translators and social workers. The immediate access to student profiles and the ability to reach students who lives are affected by negative influences and enables us to assist when appropriate. We can provide alternative, safe places for homework completion, individual attention to studies, and work with other individuals who are familiar with and can identify students who are at risk and/or show signs of delinquent behavior before they get into trouble.
