Mission Statement

M.A.C.Y. (Mentor A Caregiving Youth) is a school-based program in which volunteers serve as mentors to a child who is a caregiver of an ill, elderly or disabled family member.
We serve 6th - 12th grade youth in all of Palm Beach County. They need extra support in school and in life in general. This would be very rewarding as you would help a child who has these additional responsibilities that other children do not. We are open to any day and time that works for you and the child. We are especially looking to recruit mentors who can be matched with mentees in Greenacres, Lantana, Lake Worth and West Palm Beach. Lets talk and get to know each other!

Description

A mentor is a friend, a resource, an advisor or coach, someone a child can talk to and ask questions when they need guidance or advice. The relationship is always voluntary, with clearly defined roles and expectations.
