Mission Statement

Young's Mentoring Program, Inc is a non profit organization that assist at-risk youth and their families with the skills and knowledge they need to become more self-sufficient, goal oriented, and empowered to change.

Our mission is to serve, inspire, empower and motivate today's youth to be courageous as they embark upon their life journey. We want to help change their lives by providing life skills, links to educational resources, assistance with job placement and shelter. The company overview, teen pregnancy, self-esteem builders, case-management, group and individual counseling, anger-mangement, deliquent behavior intervention, gang and drug activity and tutoring.

Description

A honest individual that is willing to provide on going guidance and support to a teenager and young adult weekly. The mentor/case manager has to be committed and able to be reached 24/7 for his or her mentees. The volunteer will make home and school visits weekly and stay on top of the days missed from school as well as progress reports. The mentor will teach life skills and set long and short term goals. Mentor will also monitor the behaviors of the men-tees to ensure that there's no trouble with law enforcement, however if the mentee have a probation officer, the Mentor will attend court and follow up with the probation officer.
