Traditions Health Hospice Care is looking for compassionate people willing to share the GIFT of their time! We provide services in the Summit, Portage and Stark Counties, making the volunteer opportunity convenient for you! Benefits - Connect with your community - Make a difference in the lives or others. - Show compassion and provide much needed assistance to patients and families at a time when they need it most. Our volunteers opportunities include: Office Assistance - Paperwork, filing, assisting in other office tasks Patient Companionship - sitting and visiting with patient and/or family, spending time with patient while caregiver is away for a short period of time, assisting with meal prep or housekeeping, yardwork and many more opportunities. Our hospice patients love when a volunteer can come visit with them and share time. Our caregivers/family members sometimes need to do errands or have time to themselves. Our volunteers are ready and willing to be with our patients during this time. Cooking a meal, yard work, helping with activities, the requests are endless! We have other kinds of volunteer opportunities as well, such as office assistance, paperwork, filing, mailings, writing cards, making phone calls. There are so many other opportunities! You can choose the time and dates that best fit your personal schedule.

Looking for Volunteers for Traditions Health Hospice in the Akron, Canton and Massillon areas who wish to share some time for the benefit of others! As well as many opportunities for those looking to gain required volunteer/service hours, or looking to give to others in many ways. Volunteer can include but not limited to: - writing card/note to patients - Assistance in the office - Phone calls - Assisting with yard work/errands - skills in creating cards and tags (computer projects) the opportunities are endless and some of these options can be done from your home! Looking for Veterans to be a part of pinning ceremonies for Hospice patients. Traditions Health recognizes the sacrifices of our Veterans and provides pinning ceremonies for patients as they become a patient of Traditions Health. We are looking for several Veterans to help in the areas we serve, specifically, Summit, Portage and Wayne counties. This volunteer position works around the availability of the Veteran.
