Mission Statement
Academy of Hope Adult Public Charter School’s mission is to provide high-quality adult education and services that change lives and improve communities. Academy of Hope (AoH) serves adults 18 and older from throughout the District of Columbia, providing a quality education and preparation for a high school diploma through the GED exam or the National External Diploma Program (NEDP). AoH integrates these programs with computer literacy, career counseling, college preparation, and career pathways programs with job training in Office Administration and Healthcare. We also provide wraparound services, as well as college navigation and job placement.
Description
The Leaders of Hope Council is an auxiliary council of the Academy of Hope Board, comprised of leaders from a broad range of careers and backgrounds who support AoH at a leadership level. Members of this group provide valuable counsel and strategic guidance to help AoH broaden its reach with corporations, foundations, individual donors, media, and policymakers. These supporters play a pivotal role in our ability to provide AoH learners with an exceptional education experience.
The Leaders of Hope Council (LoHC) seeks to cultivate a new generation of stakeholders and ambassadors for Academy of Hope Adult Public Charter School.
Focusing primarily on serving the Academy of Hope learners, the LoHC promotes and advances the mission of AoH through positive public relations, fundraising, and advocacy.
