Description
Our Story
Founded in 2002, St. Joseph Hospice is named for the Patron Saint of a Peaceful Death, St. Joseph, and provides peace, comfort, support, and dignity to those facing life-limiting illnesses. Hospice is not a "place," but a type of care. It is a unique philosophy and approach to end-of-life care that focuses on both the patient as well as their family. Hospice is holistic care, addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical concerns.
Our Volunteers
St. Joseph Hospice volunteers help enrich the lives of others by giving their time. We offer a Hospice Volunteer Training Program to those who wish to support our hospice patients. This dedicated volunteer group understands the challenges patients and their families face, and offers support through hope, courage and emotional support.
Hospice volunteers assist with a variety of projects and bring a wide range of skills to the St. Joseph Hospice team. Hospice volunteers often provide the support and companionship that patients and their families need to embrace the hope of tomorrow.
