Anyone with a compassionate heart is capable of volunteering. It doesn’t take much to be a hospice volunteer- just an open Heart and willing hands. If you can offer a smile, hold a hand, share a hug, take a walk or simply listen - you can volunteer with us. Volunteers are LOVE in motion! Volunteers generously donate their time to enhance the quality of care provided to patients and their families. It doesn’t take much to be a hospice volunteer- just an everyday person with a Heart big enough to make a difference that lasts a lifetime. Gentiva Hospice is looking for compassionate and caring people to volunteer to visit with hospice patients. Our patients love having visitors, and your hour or two or more will brighten a patient’s day! Gentiva Hospice will work with your schedule. Orientation and Training will be provided. Must be 18 years old to be a Direct Care Volunteer. Driver’s License required. TB testing, Background check/ Fingerprinting and drug screening at Gentiva’s expense. Gentiva Hospice of Dayton is looking for compassionate and caring people to volunteer to visit and provide companionship for hospice patients. Our patients love having visitors, and your hour or two or more will brighten a patient's day! Looking for volunteers to hold a hand, share a story or listen to a few, chat, read, play music or games, or just share time together quietly. Flexible Schedule.
