Mission Statement
The Life Scholar Project was born out of a desire to help non-traditional learners in need. We want to make a difference in the lives of at-risk students, one child at a time. Here is a link to a LSP video that gives an overview of our budding nonprofit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWF66aJbwjs The Life Scholar Project (501c3) is looking for volunteer(s) to help with fundraising & strategy development. Our organization provides scholarships and Life Sparklerâ„¢ for students enrolled in non-traditional education programs. For example, we help students after they graduate from juvenile justice re-entry education programs or alternate school programs. Our Sparkler volunteers ignite sparks (a skill, interest, or talent) in a young person. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWF66aJbwjs
Description
The Life Scholar Scholarship program began in 2021 as part of the Life Scholar Project LLC, a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization. Here is a link to a LSP video that gives an overview of our budding nonprofit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWF66aJbwjs
Our mission is to deliver scholarship grants to Non-Traditional (Alternate & At-risk) students graduating from Alternate School Programs, Non-Traditional Schools, and Juvenile Justice Reentry Programs as they transition into higher education. Many of these students from non-traditional programs face complex challenges that prevent them from accessing the benefits of a trade school, technical training programs, or community colleges/universities after high school. With targeted aid, the Life Scholar Project aims to help create a culture that fosters success and achievement among non-traditional students.
By leveraging your wisdom, and expertise, we hope to help more non-traditional students and provide better opportunities for young person most in need. We look forward to working with you to improve the education of non-traditional students in our communities.
Thank you,
