Position Overview: We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic volunteers to join our team as our Inflatable Unicorn Mascot! As our mascot, you will play a key role in engaging with the community at various events and in front of our Port Coquitlam location. This fun and exciting volunteer opportunity is perfect for those who enjoy bringing joy to others and being a positive ambassador for our organization. Key Responsibilities: Wear the inflatable unicorn mascot costume at events and in front of our Port Coquitlam location. Interact with community members, especially children, to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Assist in promoting Low Entropy's Thrift Stores and various community programs. Take part in photo opportunities with event attendees. Help distribute flyers, brochures, and other promotional materials as needed. Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while in costume. Requirements: Must be comfortable wearing an inflatable mascot costume for 2 to 4-hour shifts (with flexible breaks). Ability to interact positively with people of all ages and backgrounds. Reliable and punctual, with good communication skills. Physically able to stand and move around in the costume for extended periods. Shift Details: Shifts range from 2 to 4 hours, depending on your comfort level. Flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability. Thrift & Fund Store Supporter We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to support us in person to operate our thrift store. You will perform a wide range of duties from customer service to sorting donations and organizing the store. Weekly Commitment: We ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of one shift per week. Shifts are usually about 4 hours in length. Position Commitment: We ask volunteers to commit to volunteering for a minimum of 6 months or 100 volunteer hours. Location: New Westminster to Coquitlam, BC Commitment: Every Sunday, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM OR Every Monday 9:15 AM - 10:30 AM Position Overview: Low Entropy is in search of a community-minded volunteer driver to support our Sunday or Monday food rescue mission. This role involves collecting generous food donations from two specific grocery stores in New Westminster (and one in Burnaby) and delivering these vital supplies to our distribution center in Coquitlam.
