SR Socially Relevant™ Film Festival New York's mission is to shine the spotlight on filmmakers who tell compelling, socially relevant, human interest stories across a broad range of social issues without resorting to gratuitous violence or violent forms of filmmaking.

SR Socially Relevant(tm) Film Festival New York

SR Socially Relevant(tm) Film Festival New York is a film festival that focuses on socially relevant film content, andhuman interest stories that raise awareness to social problems and offer positive solutions through the powerfulmedium of cinema.

SRFF was founded in 2013 by actress/filmmaker Nora Armani in a response to the proliferation of violence and violent forms of storytelling. SRFF is anon-profit 501(c)3 film festival whose mission is the promotion of filmmakers who produce socially relevant(tm) film content and tell human interest stories. Over 400 films from 35 countries have been screened to date. Spokespersons of SR Socially Relevant(tm) Film Festival NY include Amy Goodman of Democracy Now, Erin Brockovich, Martin Sheen, Pulitzer Prize and Tony award-winner Robert Schenkkan, best-selling French novelist Marc Levy, Academy Award Nominee and Emmy Award Winner Guy Davidi, American TV person and author Gretchen Carlson. http://www.ratedsrfilms.org/
