Mission Statement

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetime by instilling in them values of the Scout Oath and Law.

SCOUT OATH: On my honor I will do my best To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, morally straight.

Description

Wawona District Serves the areas of Merced County and Mariposa County (Atwater, Winton, Delhi, Livingston, Merced, Los Banos, Mariposa and Yosemite National Park). We have over 2000 youth and adults involved with Scouting. We serve youth between the ages of 7 to 20. Cub Scouting is for youth in firts through fifth grade, Boy Scouting is for youth ages 10 1/2 to 18, and Venturring is for youth 14 to 20.
