Mission Statement

The society is organized for the purpose of promoting health and physical education, cultural education, and rational thinking for the entire family group, in order to advance the health, happiness and progress of mankind, through: A. Planned programs of health and physical education for the development of a sound body; B. Planned programs of cultural education for the development of a sound mind; C. Planned recreational and social programs for all members of the family group; and, D. Participation in worthy civic projects, both local and national. We are an athletic, civic, cultural, and social centered club. Chartered in 1859 160 years ago, our motto is "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body". We offer activities for people of all ages.
