Mission Statement

The mission of Pete & Andy's Food Pantry is to eliminate food insecurity in our community.

Description

Pete & Andy’s Food Pantry is an outreach ministry of St. Peter’s & St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Providence, RI. Our church has been providing groceries to our community since 1970. In 2009 we became an official agency of the RI Food Bank and provided groceries to about 40 families twice a month. Once Covid hit, the Food Bank asked if we would consider opening every week to help combat the high level of food insecurity, especially among minority populations. Despite being a tiny parish with less than 30 members, we said yes. Now, with the help of dozens of volunteers, Pete & Andy’s Food Pantry proudly serves between 80 - 120 families each week.
