As the event manager, you will be responsible to successfully plan, implement and execute events, both online and in-person. Responsibilities Leading conceptualization, planning and execution of all events Handling budgeting and invoicing Managing event logistics such as liaising and negotiating with vendors, obtaining permits, liaising with event speakers, etc Collaborating with various committees in event marketing efforts Developing event feedback surveys Creating post-event reports Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous learning and ongoing personal development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias Requirements Degree in Public Relations, Communications, or Hospitality 5+ years of event management in the non-profit sector Communication and marketing skills Strong writing and communication skills Project management experience Good leadership skills Highly organized Multi tasker Good time management Proficiency in various event software including online platforms Expert interpersonal skills Risk management experience

Finance Manager We are looking for a self-motivated Finance Manager to join our Finance and Fundraising team. You will play the leading role developing our organization’s financial operations, guiding the organization towards financial health and growth, and ensuring accuracy in both the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. We are looking for a US permanent resident for this position. Responsibilities Work with the Executive Director, Board Treasurer, and Funding and Finance Lead to prepare and review annual operating budgets for the organization Participate in monthly and quarterly financial reporting activities, create and update monthly forecasts (including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow), and provide variance analysis Prepare budget projections, including scenario analysis planning to guide organizational decision making and maximize use of funds Provide accurate and meaningful monthly expense allocations based on historical information and organizational goals Provide guidance and oversight related to the use of Budgeting and Forecasting systems Review all non-legal pertinent information about prospective revenue-generating opportunities, such as funding or partnership programs, and provide income analysis to help inform sales and marketing strategies Report financial performance to the Board of Directors on an annual basis Assist with annual tax filings and other financial obligations Additional duties may include special projects and/or additional duties requested by the Funding and Finance Lead l Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous learning and ongoing personal development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias Technical and interpersonal skills Financial modeling skills, such as with Excel, and familiarity with accounting software, such as QBO Strong ability in data collection and analysis to produce reports and make financial improvement recommendations Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-up skills; demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines under pressure Excellent written and oral communication skills; proven ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial leaders within the organization Knowledge of unrestricted and restricted revenue sources Thorough knowledge of all aspects of the accounting cycle and accounting rules (GAAP/FASB) Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields 1-2 years of financial analysis experience Knowledge of non-profit organization accounting and financial structure Proficiency with Budgeting & Reporting Experience with QuickBooks Online Experience with tax filings for 501(c)3 non-profit organizations Time Commitment The Finance Manager is expected to commit 4-6 hours per week to oversee RISE Travel Institute’s finances.
