MILDRED AND JUBE FOUNDATION INC

It can be difficult for many people to think of themselves as philanthropists. However, supporting people in need begins with the individual who cares enough to act.

Two such individuals were Jube and Mildred Shiver who, during their lifetimes, helped finance the college educations of dozens of students, gave generously to their own alma maters, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University and Virginia Union University, as well as supported the cancer research campaign of the Susan G. Komen organization and dozens of other organizations from the Randall Estates Civic Association in Fairfax County Virginia to the Northern Virginia Urban League.
