Mission Statement

Despite a growing awareness of the importance of diversifying leaders who fill the top positions in the business, government, and nonprofit sectors, the representation of Black Americans in these roles is still appallingly low. Xceleader exists to address this need by increasing the pipeline of a new generation of Black leaders. Xceleader’s ultimate goal is to increase and strengthen Black leadership in our communities and places of work.

Description

Xceleader is a 501(c)(3)organization focused on cultivating the next generation of student leaders at historically black colleges and universities (HBCU). Over the past 3 years, Xceleader has built a strong network of student leaders at 60+ HBCUs and trained over 200 HBCU student leaders through its leadership conferences and fellowship program. Xceleader has conducted over 30 weeks of guided instruction from skilled political professionals which aid students in expanding their leadership abilities and intensify the impact of their reach on their college campus.

Through four impactful programs, Xceleader connects the talented student leaders and graduates of prestigious historically black universities and colleges (HBCUs) to ladders of power through leadership training, mentorship, and the strengthening of networks among these graduates. The Xceleader Executive Fellowship Program, XceleadHer, the Xceleader National HBCU Leadership Summit, and Vote HBCU are designed to train and mentor Black student leaders to instill impeccable leadership skills, create networks among emerging leaders, empower women leaders by connecting with professional mentors, and driving change through political activism.
