We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and focus on next generation education which includes to promoting STEM education and robotics among young students. We believe in nurturing the next generation of engineers, problem-solvers, and leaders by providing them with hands-on learning experiences in robotics and technology. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to serve as a Volunteer VEX IQ Competition Team Coach for our young robotics enthusiasts. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in VEX IQ competitions or related robotic competitions.. As a VEX IQ Competition Team Coach, you will play a pivotal role in mentoring and guiding a group of students as they prepare for and participate in the VEX IQ Robotics competition. Responsibilities: Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to a team of 3-6 students in the age group of 8-12 as they embark on their VEX IQ robotics journey. Robotics Training: Conduct regular training sessions to teach team members the basics of robotics, including designing, building, and programming VEX IQ robots. Strategy Development: Collaborate with the team to strategize and plan for VEX IQ competitions, including analyzing game rules, designing effective robot mechanisms, and optimizing performance. Technical Support: Assist students in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to robot design, programming, and performance. Team Building: Foster a positive and inclusive team environment, encouraging effective communication, cooperation, and teamwork among the students. Competition Preparation: Organize practice sessions and mock competitions to prepare the team for regional/national VEX IQ events. Safety and Ethics: Emphasize the importance of safety while handling robot components and promote ethical conduct and fair play during competitions. Outreach: Encourage and support the team in engaging with the community, promoting STEM education, and inspiring other students to explore robotics and technology. Qualifications: Passion for robotics, education, and STEM fields. Experience in robotics, particularly with VEX IQ, is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and team members. Patience and the ability to encourage and motivate young learners. Flexibility to commit to the team's schedule, including regular meetings and competitions. A background in education, engineering, or related fields is a plus but not required. Time Commitment: The volunteer role of VEX IQ Competition Team Coach will require approximately 2 of hours per week. The commitment may vary depending on the proximity of upcoming competitions and the team's needs.

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to serve as a Chess Club Manager for our organization. The Chess Club Manager will play a vital role in organizing and managing our weekly chess club meetings and guiding a group of youth volunteers in running the club effectively. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young chess enthusiasts and promote chess education within our community. Responsibilities: Club Coordination: Organize and oversee weekly chess club meetings, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. Collaborate with youth volunteers to plan and execute club activities, including group classes and upcoming events. Youth Team Management: Mentor and provide guidance to a group of youth volunteers who assist in running club activities. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the club to encourage youth engagement and growth. Event Planning: Coordinate and plan chess-related events and tournaments, both within the club and in the community. Collaborate with volunteers to ensure the successful execution of these events. Communication: Respond to inquiries and emails from club members, parents, and the community promptly. Maintain regular communication with club members and their families to keep them informed about club activities and updates. Qualifications: Passion for chess and a strong commitment to promoting chess education among youth. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively with youth volunteers and create a positive and engaging environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of chess rules and strategies (strong chess playing skills are not required but are a plus). Previous experience working with children or in educational settings is preferred.
