Thousands of MA & RI individuals, families and children suffer from food insecurity and hunger. Meanwhile, up to 40% of food feeds landfills. That’s where Rescuing Leftover Cuisine steps in. Rescuing Leftover Cuisine is a nonprofit food rescue organization that redistributes surplus food to feed people, not landfills. Our purpose-built food rescue technology combined with organizing volunteer Rescuer opportunities for all ages provides the flexibility needed to pick up any and all amounts of perfectly good leftover cuisine from businesses to deliver it to our nonprofit partners, all day, every day, spanning 100 miles between Newport, RI and Lawrence, MA. RLC's Massachusetts and Rhode Island branches have several INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES throughout the year, as well as Paid Food Rescuer positions.
