Mission Statement

Our mission is to promote equality, safety, and quality of life for western North Carolina’s LGBTQ and allied communities, working as a united community through advocacy, celebration, education and service.

Description

Blue Ridge Pride Center, Inc. runs a variety of programs and events that seek to build an inclusive community in western North Carolina and to support its 35,000+ LGBTQ residents. We run an annual Pride festival on the last Saturday in September each year. We are in the process of building an LGBTQ business alliance and a virtual directory of welcoming businesses, churches, groups, and other organizations. We manage the Blue Ridge Pride Community Partner Fund, which distributes resources to non-profits that support our community.
