Mission Statement

The Senior Companion Program's mission is to engage active older adults in service with frail adults trying to remain independent at home.

Description

Since 1986 the Senior Companion Program has assisted active seniors find their purpose in helping their neighbors. Senior Companion Volunteers earn an hourly stipend, mileage reimbursement, holiday, sick and annual leave and other benefits. Volunteers are trained and must pass a back ground check. Schedules are flexible and do not include nights, weekends and holidays. Volunteers provide companionship, shopping and errand assistance, respite time for caregivers and other fun activities.
