FRIENDS OF THE KELLEY RINK

Mission Statement

The Friends of the Kelly Rink mission is to bring ice skating and all sports associated with ice skating to the youth of Jamaica Plain, Roxbury and neighboring inner city neighborhoods so that ice skating is both affordable and accessible. We work toward achieving this goal in two ways. First, by working with the Department of Conservation and Recreation at the outdoor Kelly Rink, we provide rental skates and skating lessons at affordable rates. Secondly, we work with Urban Edge to build a permanent indoor ice skating rink in Jackson Square that will give our youth the opportunity to participate in all aspects of ice skating recreation.
