Mission Statement

Our mission is to build relationships with people experiencing poverty in North Snohomish County while meeting basic human needs.

Description

Our mission is to build relationships and we use laundry as a tool to accomplish it. We do this to give people dignity and create a healthier, happier community.

Partnerships with local laundromats provide a safe space for people to do their laundry , and our volunteers are on hand to connect and build relationships . We collaborate with other agencies to provide additional resources on a regular basis. This past year we served 664 individuals.

It’s important to us not to duplicate services, but to fill in the gaps as people tell us what they need. We provide emergency cold weather shelter in partnership with motels for the most vulnerable households actively seeking housing from November 1st through March 15th. During the 19-20 season we provided 200 bed nights to 27 adults and 9 children. This season, 20-21, we grew our support and capacity to provide 741 bed nights to 64 adults and 21 children.

We also run a hot shower program, now temporarily closed due to COVID-19.

One of my favorite things about our organization is when participants become volunteers.
