Promote California Central Coast railroad heritage through community participation, education, and historic preservation.

Description

The museum, staffed entirely by volunteers, celebrated its 30th anniversary in February 2021. We're located in and around the Freighthouse that was built by the Southern Pacific Railroad when it reached San Luis Obispo in 1894. We also have a substantial online presence and do outreach presentations throughout the region.
