Through individualized direct services, community outreach, education, and research, Child Life Disaster Relief mitigates the effects of traumatic events on children and families.

Description

Child Life Disaster Relief (CLDR) was established in 2013 in response to the growing necessity for trained child life professionals to work with children's unique emotional needs after a disaster and prevent more significant mental health challenges. CLDR's vision is to develop a coordinated network to ensure that children in disasters and crises have the tools and professional support needed to promote positive coping and resilience.
