Driven Community is a relatively new nonprofit organization that serves high functioning adults with Autism and other disabilities. Our organization became active back in 2018, however, we are still developing our organization through these challenging times. The founding executive is a Special Education teacher with many years of experience working with individuals with disabilities in grades K-12 within various school settings. Driven Community brings innovation, inclusion, and diversity within the community. We plan to provide quality, state of the art, affordable housing and programs that will foster independence and leadership for high functioning adults who have Autism and other disabilities. Our programs and courses include financial literacy, money management, cooking, safety and awareness, therapeutic counseling, and transportation. Our organization will provide residents with a place they can call home which will allow them to express their capabilities and interests, while receiving minimal daily guidance and support from our staff and community of counselors and partner stakeholders. Currently, our goal is to Increase both the local and national community’s awareness of our organization, our mission, and the services we offer and increase the number of professional individuals involved with our organization to that will support our residents.
