Description
Bethany Retirement Living was founded in 1939 as a private not-for-profit organization to serve the care needs of the elderly in our region. Today, more than 80 years later, the parent entity, Bethany Homes, Inc., operates two campuses in Fargo - Bethany on University and Bethany on 42 nd. Additionally, we operate Bethany Home Health Care (dba Bethany Personal Care Services) to provide assistance to residents in our Assisted Living operations. Each campus is also registered as a non-profit organization and each offers a variety of care options.
Between our two campuses, we offer 288 skilled nursing beds (including memory care and transitional care), 94 assisted living units, 77 basic care units, and 58 independent living apartments. The needs of our more than 500 residents are met by approximately 800 employees and 300 volunteers.
Bethany Retirement Living is sponsored by 36 congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) located in Cass and Richland Counties in North Dakota. Delegates from the sponsor churches elect our Board of Trustees and approve any changes in our By-Laws.
Bethany is led by an 11-member Board of Trustees which provides visioning, budget oversight and supervises the President/CEO.
