During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Earth Viability Center has two main projects: The first provides "Viability Indices" for rivers. Rivers are the circulatory system for continents and are the most sensible policy making units for wise stewardship of the earth's ecosystems. These indices show at a glance how overall health of river watersheds is changing over time. The purpose is to link the best available scientific evidence with 1) local remediation efforts, 2) overall river management, and 3) legislative action to improve ecosystem health. The second, Earth Consciousness, aims to organize many disparate threads having to do with new stories and new ways of thinking that emphasize the inter-connectedness of all life forms and especially the inter-relationships of humans and nature. Our current governance/economic systems are driving human civilization toward utter disaster and inventing the needed forms of governance/economy requires new ways of thinking and understanding.
Earth Viability Center was incorporated on June 20, 2020. We are currently in process of identifying the key data sources for the viability indices and the benchmarks that define "healthy" for riverine systems. The relevant data is scattered across a great many different databases, managed by different agencies and with different standards.
Our number one need for assistance is with PHP and Python programmers and crowdfunding expertise. We are also seeking artists of all kinds, story-tellers, and scientific expertise in many different fields.
