Description
Lions is the largest service organization in the world. Peabody Lions Club was chartered in 1945 and has been serving the community for over 75 years! We celebrated the accomplishments of individuals living with sight impairments in a "Beyond Vision Event" in 2014. Filmed interviews of 38 individuals ages 2 to 100 were presented in a program at City Hall in Peabody, MA and the event was aired on the local television station. For the past 29 years our major fundraising event is an annual Golf Tournament. Proceeds are allocated to eye research centers, programs for the visually impaired, student scholarships, educational programs, and community initiatives.
