The Development Committee searches for grant opportunities and prepares and submits all grant applications. The committee searches for and encourages sponsorships and does corporate fundraising. The committee works with the Marketing Committee on individual donor fundraising. The committee works to encourage donor engagement and relationships. The Chairperson leads, directs, and energizes the committee. The Chairperson helps to recruit new committee members.

Help prune trees on Saturday mornings. Pruning of trees along the streets of Lafayette is done each month. The continuing care of newly planted trees is critical for survival. We care for trees that are planted for the first three years. The community needs your help. The work is outdoors and provides some excersize and fresh air. The events are usually held May through November. The location of each event varies each month as needed. No experience is necessary, as we can teach you what to do. All tools and materials are provided. Sign up to be on the monthly notification email list in order to be notified of the location, activities and time of the upocoming monthly event. Starting time is 9am and ends at noon.

Help prune, water or mulch trees on Wednesday mornings. Pruning of trees along the streets of Lafayette is normally done each week unless there has been a lack of precipitation, in which case watering of trees is done. Re-mulching of existing trees is done periodically as needed. The continuing care of newly planted trees is critical for survival. We care for trees that are planted for the first three years. The community needs your help. The work is outdoors and provides some excersize and fresh air. The events are usually held May through mid November. The location of each event varies each week as needed. No experience is necessary, as we can teach you what to do. All tools and materials are provided. Sign up to be on the weekly notification email list in order to be notified of the location, activities and time of the upocoming weekly event. Starting time is usually between 8am and 9am and ends around noon.

The Lafayette Tree Fund, Inc., doing business as Tree Lafayette, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which plants and maintains trees primarily on public property or rights-of-way (mainly along streets) in Lafayette, Indiana and educates about and promotes trees. Since our beginning in 1993, Tree Lafayette has planted more than 3,700 trees in the Greater Lafayette, Indiana community.
