Mission Statement

Que Blackout’s mission is to provide hope and access to its residents by introducing them to new individuals, industries, and ideas. It provides educational and personal empowerment events to strengthen individual integrity and ties to the neighborhood.

Description

Through broadcasting, performing arts, and media arts education, Que Blackout is dedicated to youth workforce development and creating opportunities for youth leadership-Que Blackout uplifts the voices of Detroit youth to reach communities across various backgrounds and lifestyles. Que’s strategic plan focuses on connecting youth to resources and opportunities to help them thrive. Programs like "See You in the C-Suite" focuses on children seeing minority representation at senior-level positions at Fortune 1000 companies and exposure to success in fields beyond service and entertainment. Que Blackout connects youths to arts and broadcasting, offering them resources and opportunities to help them thrive. Youth involved in Que’s broadcasting and arts can access professional artist mentors, college and career pathways, and opportunities to showcase their leadership skills.
