During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
We bring friendships, honor ceremonies, and emergency assistance to veterans in hospice care. No veteran should die alone. We are brothers. Our goal is helping each other until the end. This end-of-life assistance we call the "last patrol".
We seek volunteers across the country to be a friends to veterans on their "last patrol." These volunteers visit veterans for companionship and to share their stories. A typical volunteer might visit or call a dying veteran one hour a week. This connection helps the dying veteran know they are remembered and we are grateful for their service to our country. We do not provide medical care. The medical is provided by local hospices and medical facilities, with whom we cooperate by bringing volunteers.
