NSNV Board of Directors Responsibilities Title: Director of the Board Term: 2 years Qualifications: Willingness to be on a board that believes in a Culture of Cohesiveness, Passion, Accountability, Engagement and Fun. Overall Responsibilities: Together with the rest of the board, each Director is responsible for ensuring effective and fiscally sound operations consistent with NSNV mission. General Expectations: Know NSNV mission, purpose, goals, services, strengths, and nd serve as an enthusiastic public ambassador for NSNV in the community, with funders, and potential resources Meeting Expectations: Meetings will occur on the 1st Monday (4-5PMPST) every other month outside of August, September, October (Fundraiser Season). Invite will be provided via NSNV email in Teams. Meetings will be 60 minutes. Must attend 75% of meetings.Meeting conflicts must be reported 7 days prior to secretary.Board members are responsible for supplying any information they are required to give to someone on the board.Members missing meetings are also required to review the recording of the meeting as well as meeting minutes. Attending board meetings during fundraiser season is mandatory.These meetings will be 90-minute meetings in order to accommodate planning. Board members must log in and be on camera 5 min prior to the meeting start time. Meeting minutes and any other documentation required to be reviewed by all board members prior to the next meeting. New agenda items emailed to the secretary minimum 24hrs prior to meeting. Board members must participate in monthly committee meetings (all must participate in one): Volunteers Finance (Donations/Fundraising) Communications (Internal/External) Committee meeting updates at all board meetings Retreat/Fundraiser/Events attendance mandatory Responsiveness: Teams Training (document management).All board members are required to have teams available to them to review documents and receive IMs as needed. Email Response: In general emails should be checked every 48hrs.During fundraising season, emails should be checked daily. A Rooster with board members' cells numbers is updated and a group text is started for urgent needs Email subject lines will state the purpose of email.Titled - Important Information, Time Sensitive, Action Needed. Financial Responsibility: Annual responsibility of Give/Get of $1,000.00 per year paid either in installments or prior to the end of the fiscal year. Separate giving which will occur during the yearly fundraiser. Increase each year of annual giving to be discussed. Conflict of Interest: Serve the organization as a whole rather than the exclusive interest of one particular constituency Refrain from accepting personal favors or gifts from persons who do business with NSNV Maintain independence and objectivity at all times.Operate fairly, ethically, and with personal integrity even when not obliged to do so legally or through explicit policies. Adhere to by-laws regarding conflict of interest.

NoSilence NoViolence is looking for compassionate and dependable volunteers to help with crisis support calls and emails. Please don't let the word crisis scare you. If a survivor is in immediate danger they are instructed to contact 911 authorities. Our support team is for less immediate questions, however just as necessary and vital. NoSilence NoViolence receives emails and calls from survivors for various reasons i.e. looking for resources and direction, educational group information, they are thinking of leaving, have general questions etc. Crisis Support Volunteers will: Respond to crisis calls/emails as requested by lead crisis volunteer and/or NoSilence NoViolence Founder.The goal is to call back within 24 hours. Assess need of individual and connect to resources Provide follow-up calls/emails once initial contact has been made Research county resources for women in crisis Accompany participants to court hearings/other appointments per leader’s request Maintain record of hours volunteered and survivors supported Skills Required: - 40 hour domestic violence training required or relevant experience - Experience with or understanding of domestic violence - Empathy, solid listening skills, patience and openness Skills Preferred: Knowledge of resources in the area that support Domestic Violence Survivors Social work and/or counseling Time Commitment: - A minimum of six month commitment and 4-6 hours a month required. Looking for volunteers that have experience with or understanding of domestic violence, empathy, solid listening skills, patience and openness.

NoSilence NoViolence is a volunteer run non-profit supporting survivors of domestic violence. A valuable member of the volunteer team is needed to support the volunteer coordinator in providing support and direction to the marketing team. The volunteer team includes social media & communications, educational support groups and event support to the fundraising team. You are the vital glue that keeps the group humming and growing. The Marketing Assistant Volunteer would provide: - update constant contact database with donor information - develop media list for dissemination of information supporting relationships classes, fundraising event - develop event listings - emailing of donation requests & follow up for fundraiser - thank you letters & end of year tax donation letters to donors - emailing of quarterly newsletter via contact contact - maintain record of hours volunteered and survivors supported - activities dependent on volunteer skills and aspirations Skills required; - excellent communication skills, organization and love the details to support a volunteer team - can make opportunity what you want and ability to do other roles if you want to

NoSilence NoViolence is looking for compassionate and dependable volunteers to facilitate educational support groups (presenters work in pairs as Lead & Co). We believe that one of the keys to getting ahead of the domestic violence epidemic is education and prevention. Our educational support facilitators will have a key role in this! You will have the opportunity to present to different groups on an array of topics that we provide. Facilitators and co-facilitators will work together to create safe spaces where survivors can discuss the topic at hand while sharing their experiences. Facilitators and co-facilitators will: Be available to facilitate 4-6 week presentations online (currently running relationship skills class) Mutually discuss who will speak to what, what requirements are needed to present, who will confirm logistics etc. Ensure schedule of trainings and ensure adequate presenter prep completed Coordinate meetings with participants (sending reminder emails, Team links if applicable) Open and close the meetings with community agreements, be responsible for managing group time Use provided curriculum to facilitate discussion and opportunities for educational and emotional peer support Connect participants to other NoSilence NoViolence approved resources as needed Support and resolve any problems/issues that come up during meetings Follow up with existing participants as needed NoSilence NoViolence would like to see our support groups grow to be able to provide support to those who English is a second language, LGBTQ+, etc. Maintain sign in sheet, record of presentations given, how many in attendance, and hours volunteered Skills Required: - Empathy, solid listening skills, patience and openness. Public Speaking/presentation skills and comfortable managing group dynamics. Skills Preferred: - Experience with or understanding of domestic violence. 40 hour domestic violence training a plus as is social work and/or counseling graduates. A minimum of 6 month commitment preferred. The time commitment for this varies depending on number of presentations scheduled (typically about 4-6 hours a month). Currently we are offering relationship classes and would love to expand our reach by way of teen relationship classes, LGBQT+ relationship classes, military relationship classes etc. We will provide training, presentations/slide decks, ongoing support and education. Training will start November 2023 for classes starting in early 2024
