The Du Nord Foundation was founded in June of 2020 to address racial inequities in the Twin Cities with a particular focus on economic disparities.
The initial initiatives addressed two of the three pillars upon which the foundation was founded: immediate food security, and preservation of existing minority owned businesses. The third pillar, economic development aimed at empowering communities of color, is the focus of our ongoing effort to rebuild Minneapolis and St. Paul in a way that begins to build economic power and wealth through small business support and advocacy.
