The Resource Development Committee will serve 2 main purposes -- fundraising and partnership-building. The committee will oversee the development and implementation of a fundraising plan, cultivate relationships with our donors, and engage critical community partners who share a commitment to creating a collaborative, accessible, and positive community in music and beyond. One of our beliefs as an organization is that there are no competitors - only potential partners. We believe that our success is ultimately measured in impact - we can achieve the most success by sharing funding, expertise, leadership, power, or credit with like-minded allies. We are building networks of other nonprofits and organizations with similar missions - with either formal or informal affiliations - as we work together to achieve our common goals.

Virtual Opportunity
Our members are our mission. Everything we do is for our members - this means we are constantly connecting and getting to know them, building symbiotic relationships, and getting feedback from them. We work to make sure that our community is valuable and engaging for our members. The Membership committee is responsible for our local chapters (at the college level and including USC and our expansion plan in LA and beyond), membership dues/scholarships/benefits, Mentorship, and the Matchmaker program. This committee will work with other committees to ensure the adoption of our Core Values. Our philosophy is that members and guests of the FAM will continue to grow the relationships they make in the FAM beyond their college experience, opening the door for themselves and others while sharing opportunities...because in the end, FAMily Matters.

Virtual Opportunity
As an entertainment industry organization and as a nonprofit, we are always concerned with our public image. In order to make a greater impact, we hope to reach thousands of music industry professionals and supporters. The story that our external communications tell should be representative of our mission and vision for the music industry. As the Creative Director, you will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our goals. You will Chair the Creative and Communications Committee. The Creative Committee will be responsible for: Creating and executing a content strategy, including a content calendar for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn; Growing and engaging with our Instagram - setting realistic goals for growth; Creating templates for different types of content that we will repeat. For example - Member/Board spotlights, panel announcements, club information sessions, events, and other recurring events. Developing merchandise and working with the Resource Development Committee to create exciting fundraising campaigns for those items: Clothing, tote bags, stickers, pins, etc.; Working with the Membership Committee to determine what type of merchandise will raise the most money, and also how much to order. Development and maintenance of the organization’s website; Writing a quarterly newsletter highlighting each Committee and the organization.

Organization Information
Mission Statement
As a non-profit membership organization, the FAM is a movement that aims to change the behavior in the music industry in favor of a more collaborative and positive approach. Our philosophy is that this approach will lead to a more accessible music industry, more mentally healthy artists and professionals, and ultimately, more positive music for our audience.
Description
We are bringing the music industry family together to break down the unhealthy competitive nature. The FAM is the one degree of separation in the music industry - an industry that actually feels like a family. We help each other explore and grow, provide answers, and share our successes and opportunities.
