Mission Statement

At Idaho Home Health and Hospice its "All about helping people". Our mission is "We provide exceptional care and unparalleled service to patients and families who have placed trust in us." Our vision statement is "We will improve the quality of life in the United States by transforming the delivery of healthcare services." Our goal with the volunteer program is to serve our hospice patients and families, encouraging them in a variety of ways, honoring our veterans, and coming alongside them during the hospice process.

Description

There are many ways to make a difference as a hospice volunteer. In addition to direct patient care (time spent with a patient or family, chatting, playing games, light housekeeping, running errands), there are many administrative and non direct patient care ways a volunteer and still make a big impact. Some of these include: administrative/office duties, helping with veteran's honoring ceremonies, delivering flowers to patients, handwriting notes of encouragement, sending out the monthly patient education packets, helping with bereavement calls and mailings, etc. We also do a lot of volunteer retention, making sure you are filled up and encouraged so you can fill up and encourage our patients and families. We have volunteers that have been with us since 2015. Come join our team today!
