Mission Statement

Our volunteers help Florida State Parks achieve its goal to provide resource-based recreation, while preserving, interpreting, and restoring natural and cultural resources. Our volunteers at the Islamorada Area State Parks play an integral part in maintaining our parks and helping us give the best experiences to our visitors.

The Islamorada Area State Parks encompasses four Florida State Parks and over 10,000 acres of protected lands. Our parks include Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State Park, Lignumvitae Key Botanical State Park, Indian Key Historic State Park, and San Pedro Underwater Archaeological Preserve State Park. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities including guided tour or program leader, park maintenance assistant, ranger station attendant, internships, and more. Our parks provide visitors with unique experiences as they explore the real Florid.
